Charvel DK24
Neil : I’ve played most charvel models, but the DK24 is the most versatile. I prefer hard tail guitars with a HH pickup configuration. I’ve also had done some custom switch wiring done to my specs. My main all black DK24 is made of ash, and has a great mid range tone.
Neil：Charvelのほとんどのモデルを弾いてきたけど、DK24が一番万能だね。僕はHH（2ハム）ピックアップのハードテイル・ギターが好きなんだ。スイッチの配線もカスタムしてもらってるよ。

Neil : I’m a fan of Gibson acoustic guitars. They just have a huge sound and the quality of the builds always give me confidence. I never worry about them not working or sounding great.

アンプはOrianthiと同じOrange Rockerverb 100 MkIII & PPC412の組み合わせを使用。
Neil : Rockerverb is a great blend of modern and classic amp tones and features. Ori turned me on to these, and I love the over thickness of the tone.

Neil : I’ve used the full sized GT1000 for years, and the GT1000core is the best travel rig. Paired with the Boss FS7 foot switch, and the small footprint of the Dunlop mini wah, I have the ultimate fly rig that fits in my Enki guitar case.
Neil：フルサイズのGT-1000を長年使ってきたんだけど、GT-1000 Coreは最高のツアー用機材だよ。BOSS FS7フットスイッチ、小型筐体のダンロップ・ミニワウと組み合わせれば、僕のENKI製ギターケースに収まる究極のフライ・リグ（コンパクトなツアー用システム）になるんだ。

―YAMAHAドラムを選んだ理由を教えてください。
Randy : Yamaha drums, and all their various shell and size selections, have met and surpassed every tonal need I require for every musical situation I’ve been in, both in the studio and on the stage. As well, their hardware is second to none, perfectly weighted, and the most durable above all other choices.

―使用したZildjianシンバルのモデルとサイズを教えてください。
Randy : For this particular performance, I used a 20” ping ride, and a combination of both A custom and dark K crashes in sizes 18”, 19” & 20”. My hats preference is generally 14” quick beats.
Of course depending on the application, I choose different models and sizes, which zildjian has an unending roster of. They’re the front runner and industry standard for providing drummers every tonality desired for all applications.

Randy : For this performance I used the Regal Tip 9A wood model. I especially love the heavier laquer used on these models which provide the best grip while performing.

Justin Andres（Bass）使用楽器・機材紹介
―Shabat Guitars Panther P Bassを使用するようになった理由や入手の経緯、また、サウンド面での特徴や魅力、愛着の理由もあれば教えて下さい。
Justin : The luthier that makes these beautiful instruments is a dear friend of mine. I started my touring career playing vintage (70’s) Fender bass guitars, and after a while, I really wanted to stop traveling with such historic and valuable instruments. And I also had a deep desire to represent my good friend who is really making quality stuff. Avi Shabat’s guitars and basses are essentially Fender-style, so this P Bass was a perfect fit for me, and it plays like a dream.
Justin：この美しい楽器を作っているルシアーは僕の大切な友人なんだ。ツアーミュージシャンを始めた頃はヴィンテージの70年代のFenderベースを使っていたんだけど、しばらくして、こんな歴史的で貴重な楽器と一緒に旅をするのはやめたいと強く思うようになった。そして、本当に質の高いものを作っている親友をみんなに知って欲しいという思いもあった。Avi Shabatのギターとベースはフェンダー・スタイルをベースにしているから、このPベースは僕にぴったりで、まるで夢みたいに弾けるんだ。
―Aguilarアンプや、使用しているエフェクト・ペダルがあればそれらについても教えてください。
Justin : I have been playing Aguilar Amps for nearly a decade now – not only are they very solidly built and dependable, they also have a fat and punchy tone that really makes me feel the full power of the bass on stage. Right now I am running the bass through an incredible new tube preamp pedal called the “Capo,” by and Italian company called Jad Freer – this pedal has completely transformed my sound and I highly recommend it! The other part of my grit/distortion on stage is from the Darkglass Vintage Microtubes distortion pedal – I love how subtle and warm it sounds.
Justin：アギュラー・アンプはもう10年近く使っているけど、非常に頑丈に作られていて信頼性が高いだけじゃなく、ファットでパンチのあるトーンを持っているから、ステージでベースのパワーを存分に感じることができるよ。
今、イタリアのJad Freerという会社の「Capo」という素晴らしい新しいチューブ・プリアンプペダルにベースを通しているんだけど、このペダルは僕のサウンドを完全に変えてくれたので、ぜひお勧めしたいな！
ステージでの僕の歪みのもう1つの部分は、Darkglass Vintage Microtubesディストーション・ペダルによるものだ。繊細で温かみのあるサウンドが気に入っているよ。
